We're looking for owners of DSi's to go to the following site and post their feedback here: http://www.dsicade.comIt's still work in progress, but I need to get some larger feedback on what works and what doesn't. If you have a camera, I'd especially love it if you could film the site running on a DSi. Note that the site is designed with the DSi in mind and will not work quite right on desktop browsers. Internet Explorer users can expect absolutely nothing to work.

FYI, thanks to Zach's video, I think I found a bug in War Games that was stopping it from working correctly on the DSi. If anyone had trouble with the game before, give it another go and see if the game is more playable now. Kudos to Zach for his video! Also, kudos go out to the other Zach (of Joe & Bzzt) and MGuitarHero for the testing they did to make this site possible.

DSiCade? It could work!
I just tried it out. The site loaded fine (well on my second attempt, the first time I hit it without the www). It's very light, but I guess that's what the sucky wap-style browser takes. The games all worked well, but were difficult to play with the scroll swaying each time I tapped.
A mobile repository of free DSi games would be awesome. Can't wait to see how this project develops.

Now I hold both high scores It would be nice if you could add some music (if possible) and instructions how to toggle the menu.

@Tomek - Nice work! You're kicking butts and taking names later! I'll see about improving the on-screen instructions. I'd love to add some music, but Opera left sound support out of the browser.

Nice work Banes Are the DSi buttons available? Or is it just the tap? In the video it seems like there is a hand icon when tapping, is it possible to remove it? The DSi don't have flash so it's all javascript, right? I might try to port Pi-R Action to the DSi

Short answer: Sort of, no, no, yes. Long answer: Only the A button can be read. It's also possible to read up and down under certain circumstances. It's also possible to read the left and right if L or R is held down. (Don't ask me why. It's a bit weird.) It's also possible to read swipes under certain circumstances. I doubt there's anything I can do about the hand icon. Thankfully, it's there and gone under most circumstances. As you surmised, there is not Flash. 100% Javascript. My aim is to develop some APIs to make it easier to develop on the DSi as there are quite a few "Gotchas". For example, a game like Pi-R Action could only work on one screen due to the need for swipes. (Dual screen causes scrolling on swipe instead of allowing the Javascript to read it.) Canvas is available, so you can do vector graphics if you like. However, you can't draw images. Also, you need to set the meta "viewport" tag to either "240" or "device-width". (You should really use the latter.) It goes in the header and looks like this: CODE <meta name="viewport" content="width=240" /> Has anyone seen the high scores on Touch Mii? I didn't even think that was possible!

One question about the War Games. Could you make it possible to create more explosions at the same time couse it gets hard to block all the missiles once you get to level 15 and higher. And I don`t think anyone has to cheat in Touch Mii, it`s not that hard.

@Tomek - I'll look into that. @Dan - I doubt there's any cheating. I've nearly made it to 200 before. Since the game counts every tap as a point, it somewhat exaggerates the length of the sequences. Still, >300 has me impressed. My wife just surprised me with a DSi. So I've managed to fix a bunch of bugs and even added a new app called "Shout Box!". Check out the upgrades and let me know what you think. And don't forget to change your avatar in Shout Box! Just tap on the avatar to bring up a list of available icons. If you have any images you think should become part of the icon collection, feel free to post them here or PM me.

Outage Report: It looks like our Google hosting provider is having issues at the moment. You may not be able to submit high scores or use the ShoutBox until these issues are resolved. Thank you for your patience. @Tomek - The scrolling you mentioned sounds normal enough. I'll double check when I get the opportunity. Thanks! Edit: Functionality has been restored for DSiCade. Please report here if you encounter any additional errors.
